An Adventure

So yesterday the 28th of July I started my trip to Virginia. I left my home at 10:30 am. I made it through security and all was fantastic. A cute guy talked to me and I was starting my first trip on my own with 4 stars. The plane I boarded was small and had about 12 rows so it was tiny. It made me sick as we descended which has never happened before. So I got to Denver as scheduled and I thought I would leave on time for Washington D.C Dulles airport. The flight got delayed 10 minutes and then another 20 minutes. They began boarding the plane and then removed everyone because there was an oil leak. It was too bad to fix right there so they had to find us another plane which did not take long, thankfully. We got on the plane after another 20 minute wait. We then sat there for 30 minutes and an announcement that stated that this plane also had a leak but this one was small enough to fix quickly-ish. We sat on the plane for 2 hours. So that made me miss my next connection to Norfolk, Virginia. The plane ride to D.C was 3 hours long. So we got there at 11:30pm. They gave me a new flight in the morning but no room so Shane, my uncle, drove 3 hours to come get me in D.C. We then sat waiting for an hour and a half for my luggage which we didn't get, so they just sent it to the house. So I finally got to Tonya's at like 11am. I sat in the D.C airport for 7 hours. I am finally here though and I am very happy for that. I just pray that my flight home will be with out delays.

Oakley Idaho

July 20,2010

Every year during the week of the 24th me and my parents come to Oakley Idaho.
My Grandma lives here and has all of my life.
If you are wondering why the week of the 24th is always are visiting date I will explain.
The 24th is a day that members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints celebrate the travel of the pioneers and the founding of our church. We celebrate it with a parade, rodeo, fireworks and of course with family and food.
Oakley is a town of 2,500, however you would not know that when driving into town. The town consists of farmers and ranchers and so families are spread far and wide. Only about 750 live in town. The only form of entertainment is the swimming pool and the store. But most people around here do not have much time to entertain since most are working on the farm and ranch. However during the 24th the town is full of visitors. Friends and family gather to create some memories.
Oakley has always been a home to me. Me and my parents have moved to a lot of different states in my 17 years but Oakley has always stayed the same. So no matter what my address was my grandma's stayed the same and when we visited it was the one place I knew would not be different.
The 24th of course is not the only time we visit but it has become a tradition for my parents and I. I believe that my favorite thing about the 24th is the early dinner we have after the parade and then the games we play while we wait for the fireworks.
When I return home I plan on posting pictures so you can see my country home.

Another start

So this is like the 3rd or something like that blog I have created. I feel like I need a new start each time I begin to blog again. Plus I feel like my life has begun a new and I need some where to get out what is going on. So this will be one of those spots.
